Our mission is clear: to elevate brands through outstanding content and strategic solutions, solidifying your market position, enhancing your reputation, and boosting sales.
Our founder, Chané Ludick, discovered her passion at a young age. During her family's residence in Jakarta, Indonesia, her father gifted her a camera at the age of five. He encouraged her to capture what inspired her and learn from the diverse cultural experiences around her. Upon returning to South Africa, her passion for storytelling blossomed. She completed her Honours in Corporate Communication with additional majors in English Literature and Business Psychology, and also pursued short courses in Creative Writing, Videography, and Photography, along with completing a videography internship at a bespoke production company and a Diploma in Business Management (Cum Laude).
In 2019, during her studies, she realised that there is a market saturated with content and social media managers, however something lacked - quality content and strategy. Brands can only be optimally elevated if their content is strategic and eye catching - bespoke content for bespoke brands. That's when she founded Kukua Communications, now known as Ascension Agency. The term "Ascension" embodies the act of rising to a higher position or level, and that's precisely our goal – to elevate brands. Today, Ascension has worked with national and international industry leaders as well as small businesses including The International Hockey Federation based in Switzerland, Forever Resorts South Africa, The North West University, Kukua Coffee and more.
